I recently gave Megan and Devon the
dollhouse I had when I was growing up. When I was younger, my favorite part of the dollhouse was a miniature conservatory which looked very much like
this, only I stained the panels dark and painted the trim
metallic gold. I filled the conservatory with strange collectibles that I found in museum shops, catalogues, and souvenir stands at the 1986 World's Fair in Vancouver. Alas, the conservatory did not survive the ten years of storage in my parents' garage. However, its contents did. I bought a new
conservatory kit and put it together with the girls. It looks even better than before!
