Ms. Kilday's 5-8th Art Site

7th and 8th grade students at Seneca Grade School in Seneca, Illinois are making their own Artist Alphabet poster:

Artist Alphabet:

To encourage the students to explore the artwork of famous artists, we are making an "Artist Alphabet", inspired by the work of Deborah Grumet.

•Each student assigned a letter from the alphabet.
•They need to choose an artist whose name STARTS WITH THEIR ASSIGNED LETTER.
•They will design their letter using the style of their famous artist.
•They will also submit a bio of the artist which will include:
•Artists Name
•Media they used
•Movement or style they are known for
•Birthplace
•When they were born and when they died(if so)?
•At least 2 important pieces they created
•What are they best known for today?
**They need to find out about their artist, so you might see them looking up their artist & artwork online.

THEY CAN USE THE LINKS BELOW!!!

This is a great project. Thanks, Ms. Kilday!
