Holiday Pick Number 2 - World's Fair Memorabilia
For history buffs, ephemerists, and Men In Black fans, the Queens Museum of Art has a large collection of 1939 and 1964 World's Fair memorabilia. Unfortunately the on-line store doesn't have any pictures, so you will have to trust me and visit the store in person. However, it's worth the trip. The museum is located in the New York City Building, which was built for the New York City pavilion of the 1939 World's Fair. And while you're there, check out the Panorama of the City of New York, built by Robert Moses for the 1964 World's Fair. Here are museum hours and directions.
