The Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill
Street artist Banksy has his first ever show in New York City. The Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill, located at 89 7th Avenue between West 4th and Bleeker Street, opened 5 days ago and will run through October 31st, 2008.
Banksy used animatronics to create unusual pets such as breaded fish sticks swimming in a fish bowl, chicken nuggets dipping themselves in barbecue sauce, and hot dogs basking under heat lamps in glass reptile tanks (see above video).
I found the store today quite by accident, and was thoroughly delighted. Here is the full story.
